How to renew your Driver’s license in California with ease?

There are some requirements if you want to renew your license online, by mail, or by phone and these requirements are listed below-

ü  Your license is expiring in 60 days

ü  Your age is under 70 years

ü  You are not driving on probation

ü  You have an in-state driver’s license

ü  Your license is not suspended

1.     Online renewal-

It is one of the easiest things, and you can renew your license according to your feasibility whenever you want. All you need to do is visit the website of the Department of Motor vehicles (DMV) and get your registered for the same. Once you see your information, just pay the renewal fees, and further, your license will be renewed.

2.     Renewal by mail-

If your license expires in less than 60 days, you are not eligible to renew by mail but you are eligible then all you need to follow is the simple steps-

·         Then complete the California Driver License Renewal By Mail Eligibility Form (DL 410 FO).

·         Next, you just have to mail the form to the address of DMV which is-

3.     Renewal by Phone-

If you want to renew by phone, the first thing you need to call on the number mentioned on the notice. Next, you will have to tell them the Renewal Identification Number. Lastly, you just need to pay for them by telling them your credit and debit card details, which will be surely a secured procedure.

4.     In-person Renewal-

If you are applying for the first time with your Id or your age is 70 years or above, the only option for you is to apply in person. One of the best advantages of applying in-person is that you will receive an interim license immediately, instead of waiting for three or four weeks. If you want this process to be done in person, then here are some steps for that-

·         Visit the nearest office and if you want to renew it, make sure you take your license and if you the case is something else, then you need to fill the Driver License or Identification Card Application (DL 44) form.

·         Provide your finger or thumbprint

·         Your picture will be taken

·         Pass the vision test

·         Pass the written test (if needed)

·         Pay the renewal fees

And the procedure gets over here, and once you are done, you will get the temporary license for 90 days and you will receive the permanent one by mail within 60 days.
